After Care
Immediately after your tan:
You will leave your tan on for the recommended time. While you have your tan on you should be careful of:
- Tight clothing, tight bra or shirt straps, tight leggings or socks.
Any rubbing, smudging or touching on your skin. - Skin to skin contact, usually in between your legs, under arms and inside elbows, make sure all body parts have clothing seperating them.
- Water on the skin, no washing your hands, be careful of the rain and minimise sweating.
Your first shower
Your first shower is JUST A RINSE OFF. make sure to:
- Use lukewarm water only, not too hot.
- Dont use any soaps or products.
- Just rinse your tan off with warm water and your hands
That first shower should only be 10-30 seconds, it is only a quick rinse to get the bronzing layer off.
Once the water is running clear, get out of the shower and pat yourself dry gently, no rubbing with the towel.
A lot of your colour will wash off in that first shower and the tan will continue to gradually develop up to the next 24hrs.
After your first shower
After you’ve rinsed your tan off, it is advised you don’t moisturise your body or use soap on your body for the first 24hrs after your tan.
After your first shower you CAN moisturise your face, use small amounts of deodorant and use soap in the “important bits” if needed.
It is recommended you continue to wear loose, comfy clothes for the first 24hrs.
After 24hrs your tan has settled in and fully developed, you are free to go about life normally.

TIPS
- Keep your showers short and lukewarm; long, hot steamy showers willl dry out your skin and make your tan patchy.
- Moisturise DAILY
- Be careful of what body wash you use, a lot of body washes contain alcohols and
strong stripping agents that dry out your skin and fade your tan. - Wearing loose comfy clothes will help avoid tan fading quicker in certain areas
like tight strap marks, and bra marks. - Use a gradual tan to extended the life of your tan.
- Things like swimming, massage, excessive sweating (saunas) and shaving will fade your tan.
